Using a columnar grid system, a layout was designed for the printed version of "The Multilevel Metropolis", an article adapted from "Parallel Cities", a book authored by Jennifer Yoos and Vincent James. The article made a case for the "mundane" forms of skyways by diving into its architectural history and examined its impact on the urban landscape in cities worldwide.

The concept for these spreads is to use the placement of text blocks and images across the page to create a sense of dynamic continuity, which speaks to the article theme and visual experience of moving through the skyways.
